Nimes > Nimes
177 km
Stage 16 – 177 km – Flat
Bunched sprint on arrival possible.
A loop within a loop
Both the departure and the arrival are in Nimes, the capital of the Gard department, twice the fun for Nimes spectators!
Stage 16 of the 2019 Tour de France will be held the day after a rest day. The day’s loop will be entirely taking place in the Gard department and the peloton will have the very special privilege of riding on the Pont du Gard. The escapees that will show up on the famous Roman viaduct should be under the careful scrutiny of the bunch. A bunched sprint in Nimes is likely.
